Codsall Driveways acquires Cobblecrete LTD

Codsall Driveways is growing! We are excited to announce that Codsall Driveways has officially acquired Cobblecrete Ltd.

Many of you will have heard of Cobblecrete, founder Eddie laid his first driveway in February 1990 and since then has paved the drives of thousands of homes in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas as well as completed huge commercial projects at some of the region’s most famous landmarks including Cadbury World, Ironbridge Gorge, Enville Estate, Birmingham Airport and more.

A true pioneer in the industry, Ed was one of the first people to bring the trade to the Midlands where it now thrives. Eddie has trained many of the fitters in the industry today including many of the other local companies you probably come across when getting quotes for your home improvement projects. In his career, Ed has also been involved in the manufacture of materials and products to support people in the trade including colour hardeners and concrete printing tools. Ed taught me the beauty of pattern imprinted concrete more than 10 years ago when I was still at school and has always been a trusted mentor and advisor since I set up by myself. He also happens to be my father-in-law!

When Ed announced he was hanging up his tools to enter semi-retirement earlier this year, we knew he was a mind that was too good for the industry to lose which is why we are so pleased to announce that Cobblecrete now belongs to Codsall Driveways and Eddie is now a key and valued member of our CD team! While he may not be ‘on the tools’ as often, you can rest assured his decades of experience is making a difference behind the scenes - ensuring only the very very best for every single one of our customers. You’ll see Ed on quotes, during surveying and design, and more.

Cobblecrete was the first company I ever worked for when Ed gave me my first job and taught me the trade all those years ago when I was just 16 so this is an incredibly proud moment for me, it goes without saying that we are all so excited for this next step!
